Update on FPGEE Procedures

"FPGEE will be administered using a computerized format. The examination will be administered twice each year at Pearson VUE test sites throughout the continental United States. The first computerized FPGEE will be administered on Tuesday, April 14, 2009. For more information regarding the FPGEE please refer to the FPGEC Application Bulletin and the Notice of Change located in the links to the right." - www.nabp.net

The first computerized exam was administered last april 14, and from the experiences of those who had taken, the result is quite good. Basing from the statistics of those who passed versus the failures... looks like computerized system is better, has a higher passing rate than the paper form. Friends had passed the exam with flying colors.

...well well well, I might as well try it this time.

FPGEE Review materials

Here are some of the review materials for FPGEE, to which most of my successful friends have used.
The valuableness of these materials depends on the individual. One must consider the amount of time alloted for the study and the length of experience and expertise on pharmacy pratice. BUT, DILIGENCE, PERSEVERANCE , THE WILL TO SUCCEED AND BE SURE TO ABSORB THE INFORMATION YOU HAVE STUDIED.. are very important, i guess on my part I had less absorption of the facts, because I was into a difficult phase in my life then. so friends presence of mind please...

These are good resources:
- CPR
- Manan Shroff (full set- Management and Calculations)
- Dutta book
- USMLE Step One
- Lippincot Illustrated Review on Pharmacology or Katzung Pharmacology
- Any Organic Chemistry book for the basics
- Internet to clarify anything those not found textbooks and for some interactive tutorials.

Here are links you can use for downloading pharmacy e-books.

... these and more to come. Good luck friends.

FPGEE- a note from someone who failed

FPGEE ...

Are you a foreign pharmacy graduate and planning to get pharmacist license in United States of America ? Then you need to apply for FPGEC.

To be an FPGEC certified one one sit for the FPGEE first. This is an exam that hit me hard, oh dear.. really hard because sad to say I failed on my first attempt. OPPPS, you might think that I haven't prepared that much, nope, I did. Maybe, yes maybe, just to console myself, yup, i wasn't emotionally prepared for it.

I came up with this blog to help in my own simple ways, those who wants to make a go with their dreams of becoming a US Pharmacist. Yes, I have failed and have never tried to do so again, but in due time I will. Promise I will, I just need 'to scratch and scrimp" first to be able to afford it.

Later on, I will post valuable links and tips that may help you with the preparation. These I have collected through, to nursed my ego after the big disappointment on my intellectual/career life.

Someone, Love, Hurt, Life

One night someone came. Said "Hi" and then everything follows. The dreary day was then tainted with colors, out bursting with zest and life. The path of the present was built and the road was lit, dreams of the future follows.

Yet...

One day, that someone suddenly turn tail, leaving behind the woven dreams and the future... nowhere to be found. Lost and felt desolated. Trampled and crushed...Pain lingers, excruciating pain.

But...

One morning something pinches through the core, saying... "You have just traveled a quarter of it"... go on some more miles...walk on, take your load and be appreciative of what is around.

And so...

Once more, life must go on living it a day in time, in spite of all the pain and sorrow, in spite of what has to become because there is no denying that indeed true happiness lies not on "someone" but on our decision to be and to stay happy.

Yes, you hurt and hurt and hurt and bleed but remember that every bruise, every wound heals with the right remedy. Give it time, decide to recuperate and it will. A scar, scars will remain but it is only there to remind you of your uniqueness, of your gentleness and of your humanness. Most of all, it is there to remind you that you have a heart full of love.

Never let yourself be drowned in the depths of sorrow. Never sulk in the dark. Cry, yes, cry until you feel you run out of tears because the tears wash away the pain, the longing. Then lift up your head, look up at the heavens above, you'll feel peace and serenity. The Father is just watching you, seeing through your pain, crying with you, lifting you and taking the load out on you. Piece by piece you will be whole again.

The past can not be unchanged but the future is still in your power. One must get up after the hard fall even if it's too deep, because it is only when you fall, you'll truly realize how strong you are. It is only when you open your eyes you'll see the true colors and the light.

“Someone”, can bring the bliss and the colors but it is you, yourself who gives the meaning to everything you see. Someone will take you for a ride but it is always best if you learn to drive by yourself. You may think that that “someone” is your everything but no, no, no. That “someone” is just a part of your “you”.

Nothing can be more joyful than knowing that we can and we are always able to live through with what life and love has to bring.

Live again, be free from hurting and live again. Walk on and continue walking thru the road of life… The Father have something in store for you, be it a life by yourself, a life with others or a life with “someone”… again…. And so the cycle goes on.

Just….

Be Tough.

Be Brave.

Be Pliant.

Be Flexible

Be Happy.

Be Loving.
